Of course, now I am sheepishly reminded of Lovercraft’s observation about the mercy of being unable to correlate certain experiences. I must be careful what I call up in casual conversation lest I be given a test based on unwarily uttered words.
I am still trying to arrange for the remainder of the books in the library collection to follow me. Significant works and a variety of artifacts were left in the care of a guardian who I have been unable to contact of late. I have a suspicion that he is one of those who have suffered some unknown difficulty or, worse and more likely, he has been turned by an adversary. Either way, I’m beginning to think that it may be not only my own self that has been given the opportunity to start over from scratch.
In fact, though my current arrangements are quite spartan by many standards, I find them quite suitable for my needs. Not only suitable, but conducive to allow me the freedom and flexibility (dare I even say ‘slack’?) to focus on certain work and experiments as present themselves to me, or that I devise for myself. And, I have developed new connections in the local area, and have begun to work with some like-minded companions on several magickal rituals and projects. However, I have not explained the true aims of the workings I have introduced nor the nature of my true work.
